We ate here for a date night on our honeymoon and everything about it was delightful. We both started with the lobster chowder, which was amazing. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly; the lobster was delicious and a true treat. The creme brûlée was just the greatest end to a beautiful meal. The views overlooking the water are great. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fine dining experience.
Very busy no matter what time you go. Its right on the water so a nice view. Great drink menu and decent lunch menu expect to spend a little more for lunch.
My family goes to Maine every summer and we all love this place. We eat here at least once a summer if not twice (we are a group of 7+ most of the time.) However, the last time I went to Hurricane's was for my sister's 30th birthday and the service was terrible. Our waitress was beyond rude to us and our appetizers took over an hour to come out. We waited for another two hours for our food while people came and left all around us. I repeatedly went up to the hostess since our waitress was no where to be found. Both the hostess and the waitress knew we were celebrating. I also got the sad impression that if we hadn't been a group of young single women we would have received better service. We ended up leaving and going next store to Alison's Restaurant. I'm now going up to Maine for the holidays and am really hesitant to go back to Hurricane's. I don't trust them not to spoil another special event.
Very quick to seat us!! The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. And the cocktails and food were great!! Is a little pricey though!!
Beautiful restaurant! We arrived with no reservations. The couple we were with live on Goose Neck Beach so the accommodated us with a table for six! The service was amazing. We never had to find our waitress, she checked on us at regular intervals. The food was amazing. I got the baked chicken. Moist and tender, great seasoning. My husband got a burger. Really good. The other people we were with had the mussels, onion soup and a wedge salad, lobster roll and baked salmon. Everyone said their food was delicious. The drinks were great too. The check for 4 people plus drinks was $157. Not one complaint about this place.
