We liked the Boathouse a lot. A very nice hotel with extremely courteous staff. The parking lot is a bit tight, but it doesn't matter all that much because there's so much in walking distance. We parked and left our car in it's spot for the weekend. We would definitely go back!
Fantastic location. Walking distance to almost everything. No need for a rental car. Great views. Right in the heart of town but still secluded enough from traffic noise. Would definitely return on my next trip. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff is polite and accomadating.
Good location, breakfast was meh, much better deals out there. Maybe the other rooms are nicer but don't get the third floor (attic) in the building across the river.
Really loved this place a lot. The breakfast in the morning is great (and nice they have it since there's a restaurant). Bar is great with a nice happy hour. Service was very good and friendly. Only issue is there's not a ton of parking, but what they do have is free, so it's a trade off there.
Paid 5 star prices and was placed in the third floor of there across the river building. Stuffy room with view of adjacent building peaked roof. The staff was friendly but for the price I could have done much better. I was catching whiffs of sewerage and when I looked outside the window (which I had opened) I realized it was coming from the adjacent buildings plumbing vent which is right beneath the room's one window. No fridge and no convenient outlets placed near the beds. Also the walls must be paper thin because I woke up to the lady next door's whole conversation as if she was in bed with me. Plus no conditioner in there bottle.
We went for dinner. The hotel looked lovely. The restaurant was also very modern and had a good atmosphere. Unfortunately I was expecting the quality of food and service to be better than they were, especially given that this guy has 3 other restaurants. Our server was very inexperienced, the garlic knots were dough and my blackened shrimp cocktail consisted of 3 puny shrimp on a plate. Overall, this place is overrated... Save your money.
