Friendly staff and a very cool old hotel. My family meets there once a year and they have been great every year. It's right on the ocean with a beautiful view. I look forward to spending time there every year I go.
I was a visitor of the Colony Hotel as a wedding guest this weekend. The scenery by the back patio is absolutely beautiful. The staff were honestly very helpful through the night. This is a hotel that I would love to visit again as an overnight guest!
I've stayed at the Colony for 3 days every June for the last 10 years, as a part of a professional conference. The "old school" charm is incredible. Maine's weather deletes the need for AC, the hotel is designed for folks who don't spend a great deal of time in their rooms, so no TV isn't a big deal at all. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very nice. You can connect to the internet, so bring your tech if you absolutely need to stare at a screen. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent and the atmosphere can't be beaten.
We love this grand dame of a summer resort overlooking the coastline with a private access beach. Breakfast buffet included. Excellent service. Extremely dog friendly.
Location was beautiful, right on the water. Restaurant and hotel seemed clean, fancy. The service was good, they were very helpful, considerate and responsive. The all you can eat seafood buffet was only okay. The lobster was tough and chewy. Dessert was yummy. The rest of the good was only okay.
